As the Director of Programs and Initiatives for the Office of the President at UC San Diego, you will play a vital role in creating programs and events that meet the needs of the student body. This position designs, plans, and carries out Office of the President initiatives from start to finish, and works with campus organizations and departments to build partnerships that increase student engagement. This position requires approximately 5-10 hours per week and includes managing event logistics, promoting programs across campus, and potential evening or weekend commitments.
Compensation: Stipend of $60/week for 25 weeks
Qualifications:

Experience with creating and managing meaningful programs and initiatives for students

Ability to plan, coordinate and execute events and initiatives efficiently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience leading teams or coordinating with various stakeholders.

A strong commitment to understanding and addressing the needs of the student body.
Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives that address the needs and interests of the student body, aligning with ASUCSD’s goals.

Work closely with campus organizations and departments to promote programs and foster partnerships that enhance student engagement.

Organize and oversee events, including logistics, marketing, and follow-up evaluation to ensure successful execution and impact.

Collaborate with the Director of Media and Outreach to promote programs and initiatives through effective messaging and branding.

Additional duties as assigned.
Commitment:
-
Attend 1 hour weekly Office of the President staff meetings (online or in-person based on President's team needs).

Attend Office of the President staff bonding which will occur two times throughout the quarter.

Attend 30 minute bi-weekly check-ins with President weekly.

Be flexible and available to support additional meetings or events as required, including potential evening or weekend commitments related to program execution.
