About ASOSA ( Assoicated Students Office Of Spirit & Athletics):
The Office of Spirit & Athletics provides a variety of events that cultivates spirit for the entire campus community by promoting Triton Athletics and Triton Pride; increase campus spirit and boost attendance at home athletic events, improve the sense of community through athletics, and support the needs of UC San Diego athletes; and work with various departments and organizations, as appropriate, to foster a reputable atmosphere of Triton Pride.
Roles and Responsibilities for Outreach Director
6-8 hours per week
- Will be expected to meet with the VP and one Chief of Staff every other week
- Responsible for third-party communication
- Responsible for communciation with vendors and venues ahead of event dates
- Responsible for communication with collaborating departments in joint-events
- Will be expected to provide assistance on all collaborative events
- Will be expected to plan and execute tabling ideas to promote our events
- Will be expected to act as a liaison between the department and outside assistance on events
- Will be expected to attend a minimum of one social per quarter
- Will be expected to provide and plan at least one event idea, to be executed by Chief of Staff
- Will be expected to work alongside Chief of Staff
- Will be responsible for coordinating with the staff member(s) leading each event to ensure staff members and volunteers are given tasks in an effective and fair manner
- Will be responsible for recruiting volunteer interns for our programming events as part of a pilot intern program and leading their training and integration into the office
- Stipend $60 wk X 26
Attendance is expected at all Spirit & Athletics events, unless there is a direct conflict with class, exams, or work
