- Fellowship Director
The AS Fellowship Director is responsible for overseeing the Associated Students (AS) Fellowship Program, which serves as an entry point for first-year and first-year transfer students to engage in leadership, advocacy, and service opportunities within AS. This role ensures the program operates effectively and equitably in accordance with the AS Standing Rules and guidance from the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the AS Fellowship Advisor.
Compensation: The AS Fellowship Director shall receive a stipend of $80 per week, in alignment with Associated Students compensation policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
The AS Fellowship Director:

Shall assist the Chief Operating Officer and the AS Fellowship Advisor with the interview and selection process of AS Fellowship candidates.

Shall run weekly AS Fellowship meetings.

Shall design the program curriculum and coordinate additional trainings/workshops as they see fit with guidance from the Chief Operating Officer and the AS Fellowship Advisor.

Shall arrange brief check-ins with Fellows at least once per quarter.

Shall organize quarterly networking/social events for Fellows

Shall communicate with AS Fellowship mentors regularly regarding the progress of their respective mentors and efficacy of the program.

The AS Fellowship Director shall be responsible for posting applications online no later than Week 1 of Fall Quarter, in order to promote the program.

Meetings shall be held beginning Week 5 of Fall Quarter, or at the discretion of the AS Fellowship Director

The program shall involve at least one opportunity for the cohort of fellows to execute a large-scale event
Purpose of the Fellowship
The AS Fellowship program provides incoming first-year and first-year transfer students the opportunity to:

Develop leadership, professional, and interpersonal skills.

Engage in campus-wide advocacy and service initiatives.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of AS structures, offices, and advocacy priorities.

Build meaningful relationships with peers, administrators, and mentors.
