Office of Personnel Affairs

A. The Office of Personnel Affairs, in addition to the responsibilities outlined in the Constitution, shall:

a. Oversee and manage the personnel affairs of the ASUCSD, including but not limited to recruitment, professional development, social culture, roster, attendance, performance standards, performance evaluations, removal, and additional personnel-related matters.

b. Develop and execute the annual performance standard rating scale, rubric, and performance evaluation procedures, to be approved by the AS Senate.

c. Maintain and regularly review compensated members of the Association’s attendance and Standing Rules Page 6 of 78 performance, ensuring their compliance with the Association’s governing documents.

d. Regularly develop and offer professional development, bonding, and social opportunities for members of the Association to enhance professionalism, interpersonal relationships, and member belonginge. In conjunction with the Chief Communication Officer, develop and implement recruitment efforts, especially during the first few weeks of Fall Quarter.

 

The duties and powers of the Chief Personnel Officer shall be to:
a. Maintain neutrality in the execution of their duties.

b. Develop and implement association-wide strategies and operational policies to recruit, retain, and empower all personnel in order to maximize their engagement, fulfillment, potential and service to the student body. This shall include but not be limited to:

c. Oversee, develop, and facilitate policies and procedures pertaining to performance standards, performance evaluations, and probation.

d. Oversee, develop, and facilitate the onboarding and professional development processes of the Association.

e. In conjunction with the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, develop and facilitate proactive outreach and recruitment efforts for membership opportunities in the Association.

f. Ensure accountability, transparency, and ethical behavior of personnel and operations with respect to, but not limited to:
     i. Collecting regular reports from all ASUCSD Officials.
     ii. Maintaining a record to track personnel’s compliance with mandatory duties such as outreach hours, mandated events, volunteering, attendance and any other related duties as outlined in this Constitution and By-Laws.
      iii. Develop and coordinate standardized hiring procedures annually, as detailed in the Standing Rules.

g. Carry out any other duties as set forth in this Constitution, the By-Laws, or assigned by Senate.

 

Stipend: $250/week
