Thank you for your interest in the Student Sustainability Collective! The Collective is dedicated to providing resources, support, and a space to foster a culture of environmental and social justice in the UCSD community. Our advocacy and activism surround 7 key campaigns to address campus and community issues concerning sustainability and the climate crisis. We have 5 other supporting roles that handle the SSC's organization, logistics, and communication. Our physical space is located in the Sustainability Resource Center on the 3rd floor of Price Center East.

The SSC envisions a socio-economically just world of healthy environments sustained through individuals and communities equitably sharing resources, responsibilities, and power.

The SSC Internship Program:
The SSC Internship Program is designed to develop student leaders passionate about creating a more sustainable world. You will gain invaluable experience through community organizing, research, networking, teamwork, and communication. If you apply and are accepted, you will be paired with a current director and placed into a team working through the end of the 2025-26 academic year. SSC Interns must attend weekly staff meetings in the Winter and Spring quarters and meet with their director as the director sees fit. Interns will also be expected to participate in a mandatory Winter Retreat in early January. The estimated weekly time commitment will be 5-7 hours weekly. There will be a weekly stipend of $50. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at ssc@ucsd.edu or message us through Instagram @sscucsd.

Interns have similar collective responsibilities as directors, please reference this doc to gain a better understanding of the campaigns and directors you will be joining: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rncMAyt7x6iTJn1OIlxjQ8S-r-x_g3UmyWu41qreSVM/edit?usp=sharing
