  • Finance Analyst

As the Finance Analyst for the Chief Financial Officer you will be playing a crucial role in managing and maintaining the financial wellbeing of the Association. You will be responsible for working closely with the chief of staff to complete A.S Funding requests sent in by students. You will be also working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and must maintain clear, consistent, and concise communication. This position will require proficiency in Google Sheets, ability to input data, and great teamwork. You will be working with other staff in the Office and Finance and Resources and will strive to foster a positive working environment with one another.

The Finance Analyst will be expected to work approximately 10-12 hours per week to ensure the smooth functioning and success of the Office of Finance and Resources.

Pay Rate - This position has a stipend of $60 a week

Key Responsibilities:

➢ Work with the Executive budget sheet and responsibly distribute funds based on historical analysis.

➢ Be familiar with the A.S Funding Guide

➢ Work well with the Chief of Staff to create a productive work environment.

➢ Handling all matters in a timely manner

➢ Be responsible for the A.S Funding Request Process

➢ Communicate effectively with the Chief Financial Officer.

Qualifications and Requirements:

➢ Must be a current UC San Diego undergraduate student.

➢ Demonstrated finance experience in a student government, campus organization, or relevant field.

➢ Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

➢ Proficiency in Google Sheets

➢ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse groups of individuals.

➢ Commitment to the mission and values of the student body and the university.

➢ Have access to a stable wifi and computer in order to work with the Executive Budget and A.S Funding Requests.
