About the AS Office of the Executive Vice President
The Office of the Executive Vice President (EVP) is the central hub of legislative operations within the Associated Students of UC San Diego. While the EVP presides over the Senate and manages its 29 elected senators and seven executive officers, the office itself is supported by a dedicated team of staffers who ensure that the Senate functions smoothly and effectively as the legislative branch of ASUCSD.

Staff members in the Office of the EVP play an essential role in advancing the office’s mission of accountability, representation, and accessibility. They help bridge communication between senators, executive officers, and the broader student body by conducting outreach, managing records, supporting senators with their senator projects, and supporting policy research.

By working in the Office of the EVP, staffers gain hands-on experience with parliamentary procedure, legislative writing, and project management while developing professional skills in communication, organization, and leadership. Together, the EVP and their staff cultivate a transparent, collaborative, and effective legislative environment that empowers student voices and strengthens the impact of ASUCSD on campus.
