About the AS Office of College Affairs
The AS Office of College Affairs, under the Office of Communication, works to unite UC San Diego’s eight undergraduate colleges under the motto “Eight Colleges. One Great University.” The office is led by the Associate Vice President (AVP) who coordinates events, budgets, and daily operations while fostering collaboration between college councils, elected senators. This is all done under the set of guidelines set up by the AS Constitution and Standing Rules. Through meetings, programming, and strategic communication, we bridge gaps and build a more connected campus community.

Director of Marketing and Outreach

Compensation: Stipend of $60/week for 25 weeks 

Hours: Approximately 10–15 hours per week

Overview:
The Director of Marketing and Outreach is in charge of all external and internal communication within the Associated Students Office of College Affairs. This includes merch design, instagram, poster design, video editing, and creative ideas to promote the Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Official AS College Affairs Instagram account

  • Conduct constant outreach and research about students in different colleges

  • Work closely with the Director of Programming and the College Council Coordinator to advertise events. 

  • Provide insight for event marketing across the Association

  • Being flexible and open to adjusting based on the week's workload. 

  • Represent the AS Office of College Affairs in MAC (Marketing Affairs Council)

  • Come up with creative projects to connect students with AS and their colleges.
