Position(s)
- Website Developer
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain the Office of Student Orgs website to ensure it is user-friendly, accessible, and up-to-date.
- Regularly update website content, including funding deadlines, resources, events, and announcements.
- Implement features to improve student org access to resources (e.g., AS Student Orgs Chatbot, FAQs, funding request portals, policy documents).
- Ensure the site follows UCSD branding, accessibility, and security standards.
- Monitor site performance and troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
- Collect and analyze site usage data to improve user experience and accessibility.
Key Skills & Benefits:
- Proficiency in web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc)
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or custom solutions.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and accessibility.
- Ability to manage version control and collaborate using various tools.
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Build a strong portfolio project with a high-visibility website supporting hundreds of student orgs.
- Gain professional experience in web development, project management, and client collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in developing websites.
- Experience in both Frontend and Backend development is a plus
- Experience in database integration (MySQL, Firebase, etc.) is a plus.
Details:
Stipend: $40/week
Duration: 30 weeks
