About the Office of Transportation and Transformation:
The Office works to make sure students’ voices are heard and their needs are prioritized across campus. We do this by advocating for student-centered policies, planning events, sharing helpful resources, and supporting student leadership. For example, the Office helps run programs like the Grocery Shuttle and provides guidance to all eight College Councils and the Associated Students Off-Campus Senators.
We also serve as a bridge between students and the UC San Diego administration. Our team connects students with key campus departments through the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Resource Management & Planning, which includes: Transportation Services, Campus Planning, Capital Program Management, University Centers Commuter Events & Programs, Design & Development Services, Fleet Services, and Environment, Health & Safety
Above all, our mission is to strengthen communication between students and university leadership. By sharing information, coordinating outreach, and creating opportunities for dialogue, we make sure students are informed, supported, and represented in decisions that shape their campus experience.
Position: STAC Coordinator (Student Transportation Advisory Committee)
Compensation: Stipend $45 per week for 30 weeks
Hours: 10 - 12 hours per week
Position Overview: The STAC Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining clear and consistent communication between the Office of Transportation & Transformation, Student Transportation Advisory Committee (STAC) representatives, college councils, and campus departments. This position ensures that STAC initiatives are effectively supported and that students' perspectives are represented on campus transportation decisions.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact between the Office of Transportation & Transformation and STAC Representatives

Maintain strong communication with college councils regarding transportation issues and initiatives

Support the coordination and implementation of STAC projects, ensuring they run smoothly and remain student-centered

Track progress and provide updates on STAC initiatives to AVP and the broader office

Assist with outreach to gather feedback from students on transportation-related topics
