The object of this Association shall be to exercise the rights and responsibilities of students to participate in the governance of the University; to manage, invest and maintain the assets of the Association; to create and execute programs which serve the collective interests of the undergraduate population; and to advocate for students within the University, the community, the state, and the nation.
Office of Environmental Justice Affairs

The Office of Environmental Justice Affairs shall exist to raise awareness and promote action towards addressing the intersections of environmental and social justice within the student body; focus on elements of environmental and social sustainability inherent in assembly decisions and at the university; and focus on addressing justice for marginalized groups.

The Associate Vice President of Environmental Justice Affairs, in addition to the responsibilities outlined in the Constitution, shall:

Give an annual report on ASUCSD's sustainability practices and recommend changes.

Meet and attend quarterly meetings with the Sustainable Programming Office's Sustainability Engagement Manager, Open Space Committee, and Advisory Committee on Sustainability

Serve as a liaison between the Student Sustainability Collective and the Association and serve at all meetings of the Sustainability Resource Center Advisory Board.

Serve, or appoint a staff member of the office to serve, as the primary Association representative on the UC San Diego Earth Week Committee in Winter and Spring g Quarter and put together a project during Earth Month on behalf of the Association.
