About Associated Students 

The Associated Students of UC San Diego is the representative organization for the UC San Diego undergraduate student community. Composed of elected and appointed members, we actively work to develop projects, initiatives, and advocacy work aimed to provide students with resources, services, and overall enhancement of the student experience.

About the Office of Spirt & Athletics 

The purpose of the Office of Spirit and Athletics is to provide a variety of events for the enjoyment, education, and enrichment of the entire campus community by promoting Triton Athletics and Triton Pride. This office works to increase on campus spirit, boost attendance at home athletic events, improve the sense of community through athletics, improve athletic awareness on campus, and to support the needs of UCSD athletes. We also throw events, such as Vegas Night, in hopes of bringing students together in a spirited manner.

Responsibilities of the AVP of Spirit & Athletics

  • Shall work to promote Triton Pride at UC San Diego

  • Shall work to promote involvement in UC San Diego Athletics and Recreation departments

  • Shall work and collaborate with ASCE and other AS offices to enhance student life

  • Shall create projects and events aimed at enhancing the spirit and pride of UC San Diego 

  • Shall attend the meetings of the Triton Athletes Council (TAC) and maintain a relationship between TAC and AS

  • Shall promote spirit at UC San Diego through Triton Tide as well as work with each college spirit group to create a greater UC San Diego spirit 

  • Shall promote involvement in UC San Diego Athletics and Recreation departments 

  • Attend all AS Assembly meetings as well as personal weekly meetings with the Chief Communication Officer
