About Associated Students
The Associated Students of UC San Diego is the representative organization for the UC San Diego undergraduate student community. Composed of elected and appointed members, we actively work to develop projects, initiatives, and advocacy work aimed to provide students with resources, services, and overall enhancement of the student experience.
Description of the role
The Chief Communications Officer is one of the seven executive or council positions of the Associated Students. The Chief Communications Officer heads the Associated Students Office of Communications branch which aids in preparing and distributing material in order to market, publicize, and inform students about the Associated Students brand, solicit student input in order to advise colleagues about how to improve the association’s overall advocacy agenda, and foster consistent methods of internal and external communications with various organizations on campus.
Responsibilities

Garner student input and feedback to aid in the improvement of the operations of Associated Students as an advocating body

Assist in developing and implementing consistent outreach methods with senators

Coordinate general outreach efforts of the Association to the student body including the promotion of interaction between the Association and the student body

Develop and implement monthly posting calendars in conjunction with AS Graphic Studios, and the needs of the membership of the Association

Consistently communicate with the AS Graphic Studios for all content and design for digital and physical marketing materials
