The Associated Students of the University of California, San Diego are the elected and appointed representatives of the UC San Diego student body. The ASUCSD works to promote student engagement through its services and leadership opportunities. What is the Office of Academic Affairs?

The Associated Students Office of Academic Affairs strives to work alongside students to better their academic experiences at UC San Diego. This includes, but is not limited to, representing the student body in Academic Senate and their respective committees, creating projects and events centered around student’s academic needs, and being a resource to link students to their academic divisions.

  1. Director of Internal Affairs Role and Responsibilities

    The Internal Affairs serves as a counsel to the VP Academic Affairs. They will serve as the main contact for all staff members as well as assist the VPAA in all internal office functions and responsibilities. These include:

Shall meet with staff members regularly to ensure the completion of duties and aid in their projects, initiatives, or events with partners internal to Associated Students. This includes 1 on 1’s to guarantee that the office is doing its best to provide support.

  • ●  Shall host and organize office wide staff meetings and collecting notes from branch meetings

  • ●  Shall plan office development events and activities to build community among staff members

  • ●  Shall assist the Vice President of Academic Affairs in hiring procedures

  • ●  Shall assist the Vice President of Academic Affairs in the formation, collection, and reviewing of performance standards

  • ●  Shall assist in overseeing collaboration and communications between the the VP Academic Affairs office with other offices in Associated Students

  • ●  Additional duties as assigned
