About Associated Students
The Associated Students of the University of California, San Diego are the elected and appointed representatives of the UC San Diego student body. The ASUCSD works to promote student engagement through its services and leadership opportunities. The ASUCSD seeks to foster a cohesive community through active interaction and communication with students, the administration, and the greater San Diego Community. Our mission is to facilitate and encourage students to grow and develop through their involvement in student government, its services and auxiliaries. We promote student engagement in all areas of campus life through leadership, advocacy, and service in order to build and strengthen our community.
About the Office of EDI
The Office of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion exists to promote diversity awareness and support historically underrepresented groups on campus. We facilitate discussions on diversity issues, advocate for resource centers' services, support outreach and retention for underrepresented students, maintain collaborative relationships with center directors, and engage in service projects and event coordination with CSI Organizations and the Student Affirmative Action Committee (SAAC) core organizations.
Director of Internal Affairs Duties and Responsibilities:

Shall lead the logistical efforts within the office alongside the Chief of Staff, the AVP of EDI and the Outreach Coordinator.

Shall take the weekly meeting notes and update any staff that is unable to make meetings.

Shall plan office development events and activities to build community among staff members.

Shall serve as the office’s point of contact or “on-the-ground” with all the student resource centers at UCSD: Asian Pacific Islander Middle Eastern Desi American Community (APIMEDA), Black Resource Center (BRC), Cross Cultural Center (CCC), Intertribal Resource Center (IRC), LGBT Resource Center (LGBTRC), Raza Resource Centro (RRC), and the Women’s Center (WRC).

Shall openly communicate with all members of the office and guide one DOC intern to assist you.

Shall help advocate for the commissions under the office of EDI (Women’s Commission, BIPOC Commission, Undocumented Students Commission Chair, International Students Commission Chair, LGBTQIA+ Commission Chair, and Students with Dependents Commission Chair).

Shall have bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with the Office staff (aside from the Chief of Staff and the Director of External Affairs) to ensure the completion of duties and aid in their projects, initiatives, or events as well as providing mental check-ins.

Must attend weekly office meetings.
(Stipend $70/week)
