- Mentorship Coordinator
The Mentorship Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing GPSA's mentorship efforts. They play a vital role in facilitating meaningful connections between mentors and mentees including faculty-student, alumni-student, and peer to peer mentorship. This position is appointed by the VP Academic.
The Mentorship Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Collect information on the current mentorship initiatives across all graduate departments
- Be the graduate representative at the campus-wide Mentoring For All Initiative
- Attend regularly scheduled Mentoring for All Meetings
- Attending all APDC meetings
- Managing the Mentorship Coordinator email account
- Meet regularly with the VP Academic
- Tracking Graduate/Professional mentorship related initiatives across campus
- Overseeing mentorship programing for GPSA
- Liaise with GEPA and the Student Affairs to promote mentorship on-campus
- Prepare an annual report (expected date of completion: April 2024) that summarizes the current information on mentorship initiatives on campus for graduate students
The Mentorship coordinator will work closely with VP Academic and the APDC Chair. They may be asked to attend GPSA Council or Executive Meetings as needed.
Total compensation: $1,500/year
